“Pay attention. Learn your trade.” That was the edict my father drove into my head at an early age. It started in the summers during high school, when I worked as a laborer for his contracting firm. My trade, and my passion, is telling stories, both scripted and unscripted. There are no common people. No ordinary lives. Everyone has an interesting story to tell, you just need to know how to listen, how to observe, what questions to ask and, in my case, where to point the camera.
